The Maintenance Strategy workshop was an interactive session based on our Maintenance Excellence framework and the workshop was attended by all the senior maintenance team, and included Manager, Supervisors, Planners and Technical Advisors, during the workshop each of the elements of Maintenance Excellence were discussed contrasting current practice to best practices, from these sessions an agreed gap analysis was completed and project charters for each different initiative were developed and integrated into a comprehensive multi-year Maintenance Improvement program.

 

The initiatives included redesigning the Planning and Scheduling processes and enhancements to the CMMS, improvements in Contractor Management process, new Performance Management process including KPI’s, organizational structure improvements including defining roles and responsibilities, establishment of a Reliability function and the development of the people and infrastructure to support continuous improvement of the Reliability program, implementation of cross functional continuous improvement activities, finally of these new processes and procedures were captured and documented in the Overall Maintenance Function strategy document.
